Antoine de la Renardiereby ~General-RADIX

Drawn after my next upload (since my next upload looks better and I wanted to save it for last). Posting things out of chronological order is fun! (Except when it isn't.)

I'm not sure exactly how much confusion over Antoine's species there was in the early days, but it seems a lot of people settled on "fox" (probably helped by an early issue of Archie-Sonic that jokingly suggested that Tails's extra tail was Antoine's, implying that he was a fox). Heck, even I'm not sure if he had a defined species before Archie stated that he was a coyote.

At any rate, have some wonky back-view anatomy.

I always thought Antoine was a coyote as a kid because he had similar coloring and muzzle shape to Wile E. Coyote (super genius). And the tail joke was in the same comic with a Wolverine/X-Men reference IIRC so I took it with a grain of salt.
It did used to bug me that some of the early artists FORGOT his tail entirely. I loved the way Scott Shaw! drew him best back in the day. Fun fact, Shaw! always drew Ant as a left-handed sword user (check out the In The Beginner TB if you cannot find the early issues) which I like to carry over in my own fics and fanart. I bet he's clumsier when he uses his "wrong" hand.
Excellent art and love the outfits. Coloring is also very nice.

I always figured he WAS a coyote because he didn't look a thing like Tails and didn't have the same type of tail either.
Nice colouring on Antoine BTW.
