Description

What began as a sketch comic turned into...well...this. I would have simply toned it, but no. I coloured it. Over two hours of colouring. That may not sound too extreme to you, but I have some form of ADHD and cannot sit in the same place for long. Granted, I did get up a few times (I think--see how bad my memory is?), but still...mostly two and a half hours of my sitting in this not-so-soft chair, colouring in this comic. That's very difficult considering my need to hop all over my room regardless of the task at hand.

Anyway, I must confess: I have this weird thing going on with Burnerman. When I fired up Megaman and Bass and made it through his jungle of DOOM, I didn't like him one bit. Mostly because he kept KILLING ME HORRIBLY. All he has to do is brush up against you and BOOM, you're dead. And if somehow, Bass's armour manages to repel Burnerman's deathly brushing tactics (I've never gotten to his stage with Megaman), Burner fires up his Burn Wave and fries him. Would you believe that I defeated him only three days ago? (I've owned the game for several months now) The target of my silent cursing is currently Dynamoman and his friggin' recharge station. Copy Vision can't penetrate it and the bastard ALWAYS charges back to full health. And Bass only has only sliver of energy left--or had, because Dynamoman just bumped into him with his huge ass.

Enough of my ranting. When I'm not playing MMnB, I like Burnerman. He's got an interesting design like his brothers and he's pretty scary [but then lots of Ariga characters are]. It's also a known fast that anyone who touches the green flames emitting from his shoulder tanks or helmet is automatic Kentucky Fried Chicken. How will Megaman ever defeat him a second time?

By jumping all over the place and rapid firing, of course.

I left out dialouge on purpose. I just can't think of anything for Megaman to say here that won't remind me of MARVEL, and I friggin' hate MARVEL dialouge. Yes, we can see what you're doing. No need to point it out for us. Geez, you'd think they were making comics soley for the mentally handicapped if it weren't for The Dark Knight R--wait, that was DC. Never mind.

*The two kids in panel three are Akane and Yuuta from the MM OVA. I've always thought of Yuuta as being a tough, independent kid while Akane is more passive. Naturally, after seeing how "cool" Megaman is, Yuuta would probably want to fight alongside him. This is bad, because Yuuta is not only a human, but he reminds Megaman of how he could have been had he never have to become a fighting robot. It's painful. So, to reduce both Yuuta's chances of injury and Megaman's chances of mental breakdown, he tries to leave the kid out of most everything Mega does. Not that it works, but then, it's Yuuta. He'd want to help the blue bomber any way he could.

*Lots of "hardcore" MM fans get all pissy when Megaman, or any other robot for that matter, bleeds. He'd have oil running through his system like a human has blood. Red is just a more acceptable colour than, say, green, because if a robot needed to live among humans and got cut, it'd look more like blood to the humans than oil. That's my arguement for robots calling it "blood", and I don't want to have to repeat it to some whiny MM fan later. ><

*Two of the panles, three and five, were inspired by the Rockman.EXE manga--namely volume three, where Rockman kicks the crap out of Elecman.

*Of course, Mega would stop and try to reason with Burner (or Atsuki, now that his helmet has been knocked off) that he can't simply fight mindlessly. What Mega apparently forgets is that Burnerman is more Wily than King and won't care about mushy junk like that in the heat of combat. Or at all. But Mega will try anyway, cause it's Mega.

*Although Akane points to a computer terminal, I really doubt she or Yuuta will know what the crap to do with it if they ever manage to get there. Yuuta is a Famicom genius, not a tech monkey.

That's all, folks.
