those two bros

Had the urge to draw these two again. For those unfamiliar, these are the Ruby-Spears versions of Megaman (Rock Ian* Light) and Protoman (Blues Silas Light), as I portray them unarmoured.

They had an entertaining dynamic in the cartoon, wherein they were on opposite sides but clearly hoped that one brother would defect to the other. In my AU-thing, Proto does eventually leave Wily for good, though not before Mega pulls a reverse-mole and not-really slums it with Wily for a while as ‘Quint’. Once Proto gets to work on sorting out his many issues, he and Mega really are as unstoppable as he’d claimed they’d be.

Proto’s hairstyle is borrowed from a commission KaitlinEXE did for me a few years ago.
