Imagine you’re Volker von Muller. You get twitchy when there’s S’pht around and you really don’t like Durandal, the AI that they work with. But at least you’re getting used to the former, and the latter pissed off somewhere ages ago.

Now imagine you’re in the middle of a mission for the UESC when you run smack into Durandal and his S’pht’Kr (who you know almost nothing about, except that they don’t like you). And Durandal’s an android now, and something about him seems more off than usual.

And he apparently had some history with your ex.
