Description
Literally, because almost no one can get the applets working on modern systems; you have to either pull some arcane tricks with Java that I can't figure out, or do what I did and boot up the XP. (And then struggle with the hideously unstable mess that is Internet Explorer, because the much better Firefox can't run Java anymore)
There's many things I miss about the oekaki scene, and barring some unforeseen development, I don't think it'll really come back. Heck, I don't know if dA even still has the relevant category.
Anyway, the art itself--these were drawn at RPM's oekaki board, and checking my own profile reminded me that I hadn't posted anything there in four years. The top two are on there; the bottom weren't. May or may not be updated, for that depends on how much of my patience IE tries.
* For my first attempt, I used Durandal as my subject.
* And where Durandal is, Vince is usually not far behind.
* Experimental thing with Leela.
* Tycho invading Durandal's personal space; had Depeche Mode's "World in My Eyes" in mind.

Ohhh, I haven't heard the word "oekaki" in a long time. I actually forgot about it (though I never did it myself). 
Something about this looks different from your recent stuff. The colours are darker and more vibrant. And the shading style is different?
Whatever it Is, I think it works well. It certainly made it "pop" and caught my eye in the thumbnails.
The first picture's my favourite. The blue one has a cool colour scheme too.
(There's a stupid flash ad on the right side of my screen that was lagging my typing or something. I'm so glad it didn't make me misspell "pop".)
